Today is the first day of my week paid vacation off of work. I woke around 8:30 and took the dogs to the dog park to play fetch. It was a lot of fun to watch Willow's tail spin in circles as she narrowed in on the ball. A young gentleman showed up at the dog park with a lab/husky mix with crystal blue eyes. His dog was a bit possessive of the ball, which seemed to hurt Willow's feelings as she could not understand why he was not sharing her ball with her. We left and headed home, where I picked up the two days worth of dog droppings in the dog yard, fed the dogs...and then headed out for a few hours of making extra money. I delivered for grub hub for a few hours and made an extra $100.00, yesterday I made about $150.00 delivering...and the day before that...another $100.00. Seems to easy...making money to drive in my new car, listening to podcasts and audio books while getting paid to escort people's food to their door way. I have 3 main plans for the extra money. Pay off my car loan as quickly as possible. Pay off my chase card as quickly as possible. Lastly to save up for luxury items (a vacation that involves flying not driving to the location for Josh and I, a new tattoo, and an instant pot). I then came home to take the dogs for a walk, to the park where they ran off leash in all that wild freedom. They were pleased, soaked and exhausted. I felt pretty fantastic that I was able to get them out to the park twice in one day. I went to the gym where I did 20 minutes on the elliptical to warm up, 10 minutes on the row machine, then I lifted weights and stretched. While preparing for a shower in the gym locker room, I spotted a woman laying down on a bench. I approached her and asked if she was okay. she stated she was having a major head ache, so I tried in vain to find her pain/inflammation medication but the front desk had nothing. I showered once I was sure she was okay and not having a stroke, and put a cold compress to her back of her neck out feeling helpless in not being able to provide her pain relief, I thought the cold cloth might do her some good. At home I made vegan sour dough pizza with cashew cheese and vegan pesto pasta. I opened a bottle of red wine, and then enjoyed dinner while watching a lecture form an online class I am taking. Tomorrow I volunteer at the co-op, do some light grocery shopping, take the dogs to the park, deliver for grub hub some more, make a few phone calls for reference checks for BBBS, go the gym...and then come home to relax.
Wednesday I will be heading to Baltimore, where Josh currently is there for work, to spend the rest of the week. Noah will be in charge of the dogs, and Josh's dad along with a few friends will be dropping in every so often to check in with Noah. i
